BOOST Grant Program

In October 2021, Men About Change | Women About Change was selected by the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) and the Georgia Statewide Afterschool Network (GSAN) to participate in the Building Opportunities in Out-of-School Time (BOOST) Grant Program. The BOOST Grant Program offers three-year grants, renewed annually, to community-based organizations that operate comprehensive out-of-school time (OST) programming during the academic year and/or summer break. BOOST Grants are intended to holistically support the learning, connectedness and wellbeing of children in our community, by allowing selected organizations to:

  • Expand access to serve more youth, those from communities most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic;
  • Reduce barriers, such as transportation and enrollment costs, to ensure access for all,  and
  • Increase programmatic quality and expand or enhance the supports and services offered.

As a result of this grant, MAC will be able to offer more comprehensive academic and extracurricular enrichment programming through its Afterschool and Summer Programs to more local children and youth than ever before.

The BOOST Grant Program is funded by the American Rescue Plan, and is administered by the GaDOE in partnership with GSAN.
