About Us

Men About Change | Women About Change (legally “Men About Change, Inc.”), more commonly known as simply “Men About Change” (“MAC”), is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable project providing educational enrichment, early learning, mentoring, childcare, and supervisory services to at-risk youth in the greater Macon area within a dedicated learning center. MAC’s mission is to enhance the lives of local at-risk youth by improving their educational attainment and promoting their emotional, social, and psychological development.

Our staff now comprises a diverse roster of trained and experienced educational, early learning, childcare, leadership development, and nutrition specialists who serve and support nearly 100 local youth each day. We have a loving, caring, and supporting staff who encourage the academic and overall wellbeing of the children in our care. We are dedicated to providing our children with a unique learning and mentoring experience.

Programmatic activities include (but are not limited to): academic tutoring and advising, leadership and career skills development, field trips, visual and performing arts workshops, and athletics and other recreational activities, complimented by a comprehensive nutritional meal program.

MAC has strong, established partnerships with the Bibb County School District, Cirrus Academy Charter School, the Motivating Youth Foundation of East Macon, and the Boy Scouts of America’s Central Georgia Council, among other entities. MAC has an open-door policy and encourages parents to visit the learning center at any time. Parental input and volunteering is always welcome and greatly appreciated.

MAC is a designated “Special Care” agency of the United Way of Central Georgia.
